I’m a big fan of Mike Posner the artist as well as Mike Posner the marketing machine. The kid makes sure to get interviews and video any and everything he does in the studio, on the road or just for fun. Here is a dope interview with TheCoolestGeek.com on a recent tour stop.

Listening to Chris Young the Rapper and get an ad over the music player for a LeAnn Rimes and Dennis DeYoung show.
Nice targeting. Start spending smart money people. These sites (Facebook, Google, Myspace, etc) have some of the best targeting the world of advertising has ever seen, yet media buyers keep thinking more = more, instead of targeting = more.

New video from NYC vet and LA transport hip-hop artist CurT@!n$. The song is fresh and so is the video. Hip-hop hipsters be warned.

This is dope and tragic. Found it on Large Up at OkayPlayer this morning. The skateboard culture of Jamaica as told by Wildfiyah from the Nerdz Republic crew in Kingston Jamaica. I love seeing the urban culture all over the world and especially the positivity of boarding in a country like Jamaica. Big ups to Wildfiyah and DJ Gravy for sharing this.
Peep the video below over at Large Up (the embed code isn’t cutting it)

A very informative documentary about a particular drum beat or “break” that was taken from a band almost 40 years ago as a sampling for new drum beats up until music today. This video describes how this particular beat has influenced contemporary music and how the soundscapes from hip-hop to rock have altered this beat into making it their own.
